Fall Leaves

Our next door neighbor, Nancy, has a fabulous yard. And I love that Nancy's yard spills over into our yard. The fence between our properties is covered with a tangle of vines and ivies and the fall colors are simply lovely. The fence has a trellis along the top and the sun shines through the hanging vines, casting a yellow glow in the late afternoon.

Yes, fall is definitely here; looking out the window I see green, yellow, orange and fiery red - how beautiful when the sun is shining! For me, fall is slowly turning into winter on Nov 1, not because it's Halloween but because it's All Hallows. First a visit to the graves of your lost relatives, then the first "Gluehwein" and "Apfelkuechlein" of the season in Wessobrunn...
What I hate about it is the incessant noise of the "leaf blowers" (is that the correct expression?) - do you also use them?

We personally NEVER use leaf blowers, but the neighbor's gardener uses one to blow all of their leaves into our yard!
